Kyiv Ready for 2nd Round of Negotiations with Russia, Says Ukrainian Foreign Minister
Kyiv is ready for the second round of negotiations with Russia, but not for the acceptance of ultimatums, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, according to TASS.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the Ukrainian side is dragging out the negotiations under the dictate of the United States. He noted that President Zelensky is fully informed about the negotiations that took place two days ago, and after clarifying their position, they will prepare for a new meeting.
Kuleba also mentioned that Ukraine believes in diplomacy and is ready for a diplomatic resolution to the military conflict. “However, we will not go to negotiations if Russia plans to announce its ultimatums during them. Negotiations are negotiations, and we will talk and seek solutions. However, we are not prepared to fulfill Russian ultimatums,” he stated.
