VIDEO: Is there Azerbaijani gasoline in Armenia? Minasian's question to the head of the PPA
“Do we have Azerbaijani origin gasoline in the gasoline and diesel market? Are the companies operating in this market in Armenia directly or indirectly connected with Azerbaijani organizations, and is there a role for the Azerbaijani SOCAR company in the gasoline and diesel market or not?” said Arzvik Minasian, a member of the “Hayastan” coalition, addressing Gegham Gevorgyan, the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PPA) during a session in the National Assembly today, March 1.
Gevorgyan suggested that discussions about the topic are related to a recent transaction that has no connection to SOCAR or any other Azerbaijani organization. “The transaction was made with the Georgian Petrucas company, which represents the Gulf brand. The countries of origin are clear. The gasoline and diesel in Armenia come from Russia, Iran, Romania, and Bulgaria. I can confidently say that there is no gasoline of other countries' origin in Armenia,” emphasized the head of the PPA.
