Video: Ukrainian Side's Commentary on Negotiations

The advisor to the head of the Ukrainian President's office, Mykhailo Podolyak, who led the Ukrainian delegation, stated that the primary goal of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations was to discuss establishing a ceasefire and halting military actions in Ukrainian territory.

“The sides have outlined a number of priority issues, with certain decisions set to be made,” said Podolyak. He noted that the delegations are returning to their capital cities for consultations.

“The parties discussed the possibility of holding the second round of negotiations in the near future, where these topics will receive specific practical development,” Podolyak added.

As reported earlier, Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Russian President who headed the Russian delegation, stated after the negotiations that the parties had identified several points through which they could foresee common positions. Medinsky mentioned that the next meeting will take place in the coming days at the Polish-Belarusian border, and prior to that, each delegation will consult with their national leadership regarding negotiation positions.
