VIDEO: The World is Changing Borders, We Can't Even Install a Right Turn Traffic Light - Mayor

The head of the transport department of the municipality, Haik Sargsyan, spoke during a meeting at the city hall about the ongoing efforts to implement safety measures at intersections where right turn traffic is allowed at all times with the corresponding traffic signals.

“We have not yet received a decision from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; it will come this week. They have proposed again, we will discuss it,” he said.

In response, Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan stated, “This issue has been under discussion since November. It’s not difficult; it’s just going back and forth. If there is a problem, I am also ready to come together, gather, discuss, and resolve the issue. Every time you say we are discussing, making calls, we have talked. We are doing some kind of process, but the result is not visible.

This is not a new issue for anyone, neither for the police nor for the Ministry of Territorial Administration. We have been discussing it for four months. We can’t even install one right turn traffic light while the world is changing borders within weeks.”
