VIDEO: Izvestia Reporter Unheard Due to Rocket System Noises – Situation in Donetsk
The Grad systems of the Donetsk People's Republic are striking the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Volnovakha region. The correspondent of Izvestia, Valentin Trushin, is not heard due to the sounds of the rocket systems.
It should be recalled that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on February 28 that the Russian army continues its aerial-ground offensive operations against Ukraine, particularly, the movement of Russian troops towards Kyiv has resumed.
“During the aerial-ground offensive operation, the enemy continued to deliver strikes on military and civilian airports, command points, air defense system facilities, critical infrastructure objects, residential areas, and defense area units,” stated the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the previous night in Polesie, in the direction of the capital Kyiv, the Russian side resumed attempts to advance by constructing a pontoon bridge over the Irpin River near the village of Demidiv.
Recall that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation for the demilitarization of Ukraine. In a televised address, he stated that circumstances “require decisive and immediate actions from us, the people's republics of Donbas have appealed for assistance to Russia.”
According to the Russian leader, all responsibility for the bloodshed will fall on the conscience of the ruling regime in Ukraine. He called on Ukrainian soldiers not to follow the criminal orders of the Ukrainian authorities, to lay down their arms, and go home.
