Russian-Ukrainian Negotiations to Begin in the Morning Hours
Negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine were not held yesterday, reports Sputnik Belarus citing its source.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky announced that Ukraine had agreed to negotiations in the Gomel region, and the Russian delegation had headed there. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, noted that this followed a telephone conversation between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Zelensky.
Later, Sputnik Belarus indicated that the Alexandrovka-Vilcha checkpoint would be the venue for the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. A source informed Sputnik Belarus that the location of the meeting was changed at the request of the Ukrainian side.
The Russian-Ukrainian negotiations will commence in the morning hours, TASS reports.
