Grocery Stores to Open in Kyiv: What is the Situation in the City

Starting from 08:00, grocery stores in Kyiv will open and public transport will operate, although metro trains will run much less frequently than usual. This was announced via the official Telegram channel of the Kyiv City State Administration.

“We ask you not to go out onto the streets and not to roam around the city without serious reasons.

Overall, the night has been quiet, with a few exchanges of fire and clashes with reconnaissance-diversion groups, but the city has been more secure compared to previous nights. However, the situation remains tense in several areas of the capital. Therefore, leave your homes only in emergencies, such as when you need to buy food or medicine.

We encourage you to unite and help each other: ask your neighbors if they need assistance, especially when it concerns the elderly or families whose relatives are defending Ukraine. Monitor the apartments of neighbors who have left the city to prevent looting.

It should be noted that the curfew has not been lifted. As previously decided, it will be in effect from February 28, from 22:00 until 07:00,” the statement reads.
