The city of Gomel in Belarus has been chosen by the Ukrainian side as the venue for negotiations. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, to reporters, according to TASS news agency.

"The city of Gomel has been proposed as a negotiation platform by the Ukrainian side. The Russian delegation is ready for these talks," Peskov said.

Peskov also noted that the Russian delegation in negotiations with Ukraine is headed by Vladimir Medinsky, an assistant to the President of Russia, who will soon make a corresponding statement.
