Watch: Azerbaijanis Threaten Artsakh Residents with Force. David Babayan Comments on the Situation in Artsakh

What should we expect from the Azerbaijanis—only an anti-Armenian policy? This was stated by David Babayan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, in an interview with Auroranews.

It should be noted that representatives of the Azerbaijani armed forces have turned on a recording near the administrative borders of the village of Kharamort in the Askeran region of the Republic of Artsakh, announcing that the residents must leave their homes and cease agricultural activities in Kharamort, which they claim is Azerbaijani territory, and so forth.

They have also threatened to use force.

“They have not abandoned their insidious tactics. There will be no large-scale war in Artsakh for two reasons: the will and spirit of the Armenians of Artsakh are unbreakable, and the Russian peacekeepers are on the ground. Importantly, there is no panic among the population, although they are trying to psychologically pressure the local Armenians and are once again delivering a dirty blow to the Russian peacekeepers from behind,” noted Babayan.

When we inquired at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh if the Russian peacekeepers had responded to this incident or taken any measures, it was mentioned that the peacekeepers serve as a restraining force during any incident.

“They would have long committed reckless actions if it weren’t for the peacekeepers. We must never forget who Azerbaijan is. But that doesn’t mean we should hate the ordinary people. The Azerbaijani state is Nazi-like—what can we expect from them?” emphasized our interlocutor.
