Emergency Situation in Yerevan: Huge Sewer Pipe Burst, Sewage Floods Hrazdan Gorge

An emergency situation has arisen in Yerevan today. According to Shamshyan.com, due to damage to a massive sewer pipe located near the "Havana" restaurant complex by the Kiev Bridge, sewage has flooded certain sections of the Hrazdan gorge.

As a result of the sewage leak, a considerable area from the Kiev Bridge towards and under the Kiev Bridge has been filled with filth, stones, and dirt.

The employees of "Veolia Water" acted promptly, carrying out significant work for over an hour in teams under the director's guidance to rectify the emergency.

Additionally, the Police Patrol Service of the Republic of Armenia's second battalion third company is providing enhanced service at the scene, led by Battalion Commander Levon Badalyan and Deputy Battalion Commander David Nikoghosyan.

In the segment leading from Halabyan Street to the Kiev Bridge, Senior Patrol Officer Artak Mkhoyan and Junior Patrol Officer Harutyun Sahakyan are also providing enhanced service to prevent congestion, successfully allowing representatives from "Veolia Water" to carry out their work without obstacles.

According to G. Shamshyan, employees from relevant departments of the Yerevan Municipality have arrived on the scene per the directives of Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan.

Upon the instruction of the Arabkir Administrative District Head Armen Danielyan, employees from the Arabkir municipality are currently conducting investigations near the "Havana" restaurant complex to determine the cause of the accident.

There is a hypothesis that the incident may have been triggered by a recent earthquake in Armenia.
