Poland to Close Airspace to Russia
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has instructed the Council of Ministers to prepare a decision to close the country's airspace to aircraft coming from Russia. The announcement was made on the politician's personal Twitter account.
“I have instructed to prepare a decision by the Council of Ministers that will close airspace for Russian carriers,” he stated.
Earlier, two of Britain’s largest airlines announced that their planes have stopped using Russian airspace. According to the statements from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, the airlines have ceased using Russian airspace, confirming that Moscow has imposed sanctions against London.
