Tragic Incident in Ararat Province: 27-Year-Old Man Found Dead after Belarus Tractor Overturns in Kakhanev Canal

A tragic incident occurred today in Ararat Province. At around 19:50, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service received a report at their 911 crisis management center that a Belarus tractor had overturned in the Kakhanev canal in the area of Surenavan village.

According to Shamshyan.com, a single firefighting team from the 24th Fire and Rescue Division of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived promptly at the scene. Locals, using a crane, managed to extract the tractor from the canal, after which rescuers retrieved the body of a young man from the water.

Investigations are underway at the Ararat investigative department regarding the incident. Eyewitnesses gathered at the scene indicated that the deceased was 27-year-old Gagik Ohanyan, a resident of Surenavan village.
