After Intense Fighting, We Have Lost Control of the Chernobyl Site: Head of Zelensky's Office

The Russian invaders have taken control of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This was announced by Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Head of Ukraine's Presidential Office. He called it one of the most serious threats to Europe.

“After intense fighting, we have lost control of the Chernobyl site. It is unknown what condition the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant's facilities and the management and storage of nuclear waste are in. After the completely senseless attack by the Russians in this direction, it cannot be said that the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is safe. This is one of the most serious threats facing Europe today,” he wrote.

He also added that Russia may be preparing provocations.
