At yesterday's session of the 'Euronews' Parliamentary Assembly Bureau held in Yerevan, a resolution was adopted, to which Maria Karapetyan voted against. She shared this information during a briefing with reporters today, stating, 'I did not vote in favor,' Sputnik Armenia reports.

According to the press, the resolution has an anti-Russian context and is related to the situation in Ukraine. However, the head of the Armenian delegation refrained from discussing the content of the resolution, suggesting to 'wait a little longer.' 'Since I did not vote in favor of that message, I find it inappropriate to comment on it. I can defend my position,' she said, adding that the content of the resolution would be discussed again in the second meeting of the bureau today, will undergo editing by the interested members of the bureau, after which it will be published for your acquaintance.

Karapetyan expressed hope that peace would be maintained. 'Generally, being a country that went through the calamity of war in the autumn of 2020, we cannot have any other expectations or hopes,' said the head of the Armenian delegation.

It is noteworthy that the 'Euronews' sessions are being held in Yerevan on February 22. The Eastern Partnership countries are rotating the meetings of the Euronews Parliamentary Assembly. Now it is Yerevan's turn. Two Azerbaijani MPs, Tahir Mirkişili and Soltan Məmmədov, have also arrived in Yerevan to participate in the sessions.
