The US Embassy in Armenia Will Be Closed Today
Today marks Presidents' Day in the United States, according to a statement from the US Embassy in Armenia.
"Originally, this holiday was in honor of the first US president George Washington and the 16th president Abraham Lincoln, both of whom were born in February—Washington on February 12, 1732, and Lincoln on February 22, 1809. Now, this holiday honors all current and past Presidents of the United States and is celebrated annually on the third Monday in February. In connection with the holiday, the embassy will be closed on Monday," the statement said.
