Putin and Aliyev to Sign Declaration Tomorrow

Putin and Aliyev will sign a declaration tomorrow that will elevate the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan to a partnership level. This information is reported in a message published on the official Kremlin website.

“On February 22, Vladimir Putin will meet with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who will be on an official visit to Russia. The discussions are expected to cover the issues of further development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, and humanitarian fields.

Additionally, it is planned to review the implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia regarding Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9, January 11, and November 26, 2020, including measures to restore economic and transport links.

As a result of the negotiations, a declaration on allied cooperation will be signed, which will take the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan to an allied level,” the statement reads.
