France Calls on Its Citizens to Leave Ukraine
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged French citizens in Ukraine to leave the country. This was stated in a statement published on the ministry's website on Saturday.
"All French citizens who have no valid reason to be in Ukraine are advised to leave the country. It is also recommended to postpone all trips to Ukraine," the statement reads.
Furthermore, French citizens who are in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions have been warned to leave these areas immediately due to the escalating situation.
It should be noted that the situation in Donbas has sharply worsened. Since February 17, intense shelling, the most intense in recent months, has been reported in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, damaging several civilian infrastructures. There are no reports of casualties, but two civilians have been injured.
On Friday, the leaders of Luhansk and Donetsk announced the evacuation of residents to Russia due to the increased threat of military actions. Today, general mobilization has been declared in both Republics.
