Zahharova on Biden's Speech
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted that U.S. President Joe Biden did not say a word about the real situation of the civilian population in Donbass in his speech regarding the situation in Ukraine, TASS reports.
“The most horrifying thing is that there is no mention of the real situation of the civilian population in Donbass. Are there no people, no problems?” she wrote on her Telegram channel on Saturday.
Earlier, during his seven-minute speech to reporters, the U.S. president stated that Kyiv is being drawn into provocations in Donbass. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin has already made a decision regarding “invasion,” and Russian forces will attack Ukraine in the coming days. The West is prepared to impose new sanctions against Russia in the event of an “invasion” of Ukraine, but the door remains open for diplomacy, the U.S. president said.
