VIDEO: Ukrainian Shell Hits Pump Station
The Vasilyevka pump station located in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic has been damaged as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces, leading to a power outage in the area. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the representation of the DPR at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire.
Earlier, the DPR representation at the center stated that Ukrainian forces had opened fire towards Vasilyevka, firing four 82-millimeter shells.
As a result of the shelling, transformer number 2 was set on fire, and the operation of the first lift pump station of the South Donbass water pipeline has been halted, leaving the village of Vasilyevka without electricity. Due to the suspension of the pump station's operations, the Donetsk filtration plant has switched to reserve water supply.
