Roads Closed and Impassable in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that there are closed and impassable roads throughout the country.

In the Aragatsotn province, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and Lake Kari are closed.

The Vardenyats pass is difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles, and for trucks with trailers under conditions of using snow chains.

In the Dilijan bends and on the Agvani-Halidzor road in the Syunik province, there are patches of black ice.

In the city of Gyumri in the Shirak province and on the Goris-Kapan road in Syunik, there is fog.

Regarding the Lars situation: According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
