How Many People Have Crossed the Border from Donbas to Russia

Against the backdrop of rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine, 10,356 people have crossed from Donbas into Russia. This information was provided to "RIA Novosti" by an anonymous source familiar with the situation.

“As of 10:00 AM, 10,356 people have crossed the border, including 4,527 Russian citizens, 5,806 Ukrainian citizens, and 23 foreign nationals,” the agency's interlocutor stated.

Earlier, the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics announced the temporary evacuation of residents to the Rostov region. The first group to be evacuated consists of women, children, and the elderly.
