Video: Ministry of Environment Receives Reports with Footage

The Ministry of Environment recently received reports accompanied by footage depicting cases of pollution and improper waste management in the areas adjacent to the Spitak community in the Lori region.

To address this issue, the minister's appointed deputy will send relevant letters to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, requesting support to instruct local self-governing bodies through regional administrations to take action. These actions will be in accordance with Article 51 and point 16 of part 1 of Article 42 of the Law on Local Self-Governance, aimed at ensuring effective protection of specially protected natural areas, natural monuments, historical and cultural sites, as well as areas adjoining natural landscapes cherished and frequently used by the population for tourism purposes.

The ministry once again calls on and urges citizens to be more caring and considerate towards the environment, particularly emphasizing the importance of maintaining its cleanliness and integrity.
