Zahharova Demands Apology from Britain for Spreading Lies
The Foreign Secretary of Great Britain should apologize for spreading falsehoods about a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine, said Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his British counterpart Elizabeth Truss discussed the situation surrounding Ukraine, but the negotiations were unsuccessful, with Lavrov calling them a "deaf-mute conversation." In the ongoing scandal between the foreign ministries of Russia and Great Britain, London is convincing both its citizens and the world of unreliable information regarding Ukraine, Zakharova stated on Telegram.
"It is time for the British side to apologize for all the lies that its officials have told their subjects and the public," the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
This response came after Truss stated that she would believe Moscow has no plans to invade Ukraine only after Russia withdraws all its troops from the Ukrainian border.
