The New Owner of 'Golden Palace' Generated Controversy After Fleeing the Scene of a Car Accident Causing $2,000 in Damages
Recently, on February 10, the electronic media outlet 'Aravot' reported on the identity of the new owner of the 'Golden Palace' hotel complex in Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk Province, which was acquired for 5 billion drams. According to 'Aravot', the buyer is Narek Nalbandyan, a resident of the village of Argel in Kotayk.
As reported by Shamshyan.com, on November 25, 2018, Nalbandyan was involved in a car accident at the intersection of Pushkin and Teryan streets in Yerevan, where his Lexus collided with a parked Volkswagen Touareg owned by Yerevan resident Arman Davtyan. The accident caused approximately $2,000 in damages to Davtyan's vehicle.
It was determined that Nalbandyan had hit Davtyan's car and fled the scene. However, the investigation materials were later destroyed under the pretext that after three years, all documents related to material damage are subject to destruction.
AuroraNews.am has contacted the Investigative Committee regarding this information, but they stated they could not provide details during non-working hours, promising to clarify the situation during working hours.
