Six Aftershocks Recorded Following Earthquake in Georgia
On February 13, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Georgia at 22:25, after which six aftershocks were recorded, according to Aliq.ge. The National Center for Seismic Monitoring of Georgia has reported that the magnitude of the aftershocks ranged from 3.1 to 4.5.
The aftershocks were registered in the following sequence:
- 4.5 magnitude, at 22:28, 26 km southwest of the town of Dmanisi, near the village of Sameba
- 3.5 magnitude, at 22:30, in Samtskhe-Javakheti
- 4.1 magnitude, at 22:35, 26 km southwest of the town of Dmanisi, near the village of Sameba
- 3.1 magnitude, at 22:37, 23 km east of the town of Ninotsminda, near the village of Sameba
- 3.1 magnitude, at 00:14, along the Armenian-Georgian border
- 3.5 magnitude, at 03:35, 23 km east of the town of Ninotsminda, near the village of Sameba
