Car Accident in Lori Region: Driver Dies in Hospital

On February 12, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Lori region. At around 21:20, vehicles collided on the 2nd kilometer of the Tashir-Stepanavan highway. The cars involved were a GAZ 24 driven by 46-year-old Arsen Hovhannisyan from Stepanavan and a VAZ 21150 driven by 64-year-old Alexey Yarato from Tashir.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, Alexey Yarato was taken to the 'Tashir' medical center with injuries. The hospital informed the Tashir police department that the injured person had died in the hospital, after which a group from the Lori regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee arrived at the scene, headed by acting head Serobyan.
