Why Ararat Mirzoyan Rarely Communicates with His Staff and Ambassadors: Spokesperson Clarifies
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Minister Ararat Mirzoyan rarely interacts with his staff and the ambassadors of Armenia accredited abroad. None of them have received a meeting with him. When they seek clarification with the minister, their calls are answered by young advisors who transferred from the National Assembly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informing them that the minister cannot speak with or meet them, and suggesting they discuss their issues with him instead.
We asked MFA spokesperson Vahan Hunanian whether Mirzoyan has ever met with ambassadors since he was appointed minister and how communication with them is maintained. The spokesperson replied, "The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia is, of course, in daily contact with our ambassadors and permanent representatives accredited in foreign countries and international organizations, providing relevant instructions through in-person meetings, phone calls, visits, and through a diplomatic gathering that took place about a month ago."
We requested clarification on whether the minister has individually received any ambassador, to which he stated that this happens regularly. However, when asked for a specific example of the last meeting and which ambassador he met, the spokesperson did not provide details, saying, "I have answered your questions clearly." Detailed information can be found in today's issue of the newspaper.
