What Should the World Do with Us, Should We Be Destroyed? We Will Never Give Up Our Land. Davit Babayan
There are two conditions for the return of Azerbaijani refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Artsakh, Davit Babayan, during a meeting at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
According to him, first of all, all political issues must be resolved. This includes the recognition of Artsakh, primarily by Azerbaijan. Secondly, Armenian refugees must also be able to return to Baku and other cities in Azerbaijan, from where they were forcibly displaced. "There is no other way; we will never give up our land," emphasized Davit Babayan.
Responding to a question about the possibility of the de-occupation of Shushi and Hadrut, the minister noted that the issue is always on the agenda. "As is the case with the occupied territories of Shahumyan, Getashen, and parts of the Martuni region. We believe that sooner or later it will happen. But we must work for it. I can say one thing: we will never give up our land," stressed Davit Babayan.
Regarding the recent provocations and gunfire, the minister said, "We are not playing games, we are honest with everyone and will continue to defend the interests of Artsakh. If it were up to the Azerbaijanis, Dadivank would have long been removed; now they cannot do that, so they are resorting to other actions. We need to go to a peace treaty with them, but they want us to leave Artsakh and for everything to be according to their terms. The messages received from Armenia regarding going to peace will be torpedoed. Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan. What should the world do with us, should we be destroyed?"
