Turkmenistan President Steps Down; Extraordinary Presidential Elections Scheduled for March 12
The President of Turkmenistan is stepping down. According to the Central Election Commission, extraordinary presidential elections have been scheduled for March 12.
As reported by RIA Novosti, the seemingly eternal President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov stated the previous day that it is time to hand over the management of the state to younger leaders.
