Australia and New Zealand Urge Citizens to Leave Ukraine Immediately
Australia and New Zealand have urged their citizens to leave Ukraine immediately. This was reported by Interfax.
The governments of both countries consider the situation in Ukraine to be "very dangerous" due to the "growing tensions" in their relations with Russia.
The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on its citizens to urgently leave Ukrainian territory. The statement released by the ministry explains this measure as a response to the "increasing tensions between Russia and Ukraine."
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has also appealed to his citizens with a similar message, calling the situation in Ukraine "very dangerous," according to Australian media.
Just the day before, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan had suggested that all Americans leave Ukraine within the next 24-48 hours.
