Arrested Manvel Paramazyan Sends a Message
The mayor of Kajaran, Manvel Paramazyan, who is in custody, has sent a message through his lawyers.
“On February 7, I was arrested again without reasonable justification or grounds. My absence from the community for months has created numerous problems, which I was able to address and initiate various incomplete projects upon my return. This unexpected arrest has once again impacted the pace of those projects and the extensive work to be carried out in the community.
Dear friends, rest assured, I will return soon, and this time we will bring all those projects to their logical conclusion and turn new initiatives into reality for the benefit of community development. I will come and continue my mission, which you have entrusted to me. These are temporary challenges that any leader must bear with honor and emerge from these trials with honor as well. Through our joint and collective efforts, we will overcome the setbacks of these months together and leave a community for future generations that will be spoken of for a long time in our history.
Be united and strong, for this unity will strengthen even more with my presence, which will be very soon. Justice gets sick, but it does not die. This is a trial of spirit, and I will overcome this trial with honor and continue to engage in important issues for community development.
In the near future, I will present to you step-by-step all the projects that will be implemented in the community. Strength and vitality to all your families—stay healthy, united, and await my return.
With respect and pride,
Your Mayor of Kajaran, Manvel Paramazyan,” the message stated.
