Activities of Preschool Institutions in Masis Cease

The newly elected mayor of Masis, Davit Hambardzumyan, states: "Dear residents,
Considering the spread of acute respiratory diseases and the low attendance rates of children in preschool institutions, I have made a decision to cease the activities of non-commercial community organizations providing services in the preschool sector of the Masis community in the Ararat province of Armenia and to send the employees on leave.

The decision specifically states: "Guided by the requirements of Article 186, Part 1 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, and based on the report of chief specialist R. Atanesyan, regarding the number of absences of children attending preschool due to the spread of the flu epidemic, I decide:
1. To suspend the activities of preschool non-commercial organizations operating in the Masis community of Ararat province from February 9, 2022, indefinitely.
2. To inform parents about the leave.
3. To pay the employees of the kindergarten during the leave period at a rate of two-thirds of their average hourly wage before the leave, but not less than the minimum hourly rate established by law.
4. To not charge parental fees during the leave period."
