VIDEO: Communication Process with Neighbors is Essential for Achieving Lasting Peace - MP

Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction in the National Assembly, considers it essential to initiate a communication process with neighboring countries to achieve lasting peace.

"In the current geopolitical dynamics, amidst dangerous developments, our state cannot stand its ground without establishing clearly regulated relations with strategic partners and neighboring states. It is evident that the genetic memory of a state with imperial aspirations has occasionally resurfaced whenever a suitable environment is created; however, it is crucial for us to organize worthy resistance in such circumstances," stated Kocharyan in the National Assembly.

He mentioned that the 44-day war caused irreversible human losses, the pain of which belongs to everyone, but it also provided an opportunity to live, create, and reevaluate life and time.

"Our task now is to understand the actions of the main players in the Caucasus region, analyze them, and, while being realistic, to refrain from destructive arrogance, excessive emotionality, and perhaps unfounded self-confidence at this moment. It is essential to start a communication process with neighbors for achieving lasting peace, even if the fact of defeat creates obstacles for us," said the MP from the Civil Contract party.

Andranik Kocharyan also emphasized the importance of keeping the country free from internal shocks and fragmentation. "To ensure the establishment of long-term peace and complete security of the state, we need to demonstrate unity, cold rationality, and prudence, without forgetting the past; this is the most effective way to move forward and achieve significant successes," declared Andranik Kocharyan.
