Fire Breaks Out at One of Artsakh's Schools

On February 7, at 03:20, a report was received at the Martakert regional emergency situations division's hotline about a fire outbreak in the territory of the Arajnadzor community. Preliminary data indicates that the "Aris Poghosyan" high school is on fire.

According to the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh, at 03:15, a fire truck from the Arajnadzor firefighting brigade was dispatched to the scene with a combat crew. After assessing the operational situation, a second fire truck was dispatched to the scene at 03:23.

Two combat teams from the Martakert firefighting unit have also been sent to the location to organize firefighting and rescue operations, as well as to assist the local population if necessary.

The fire was contained at 05:05. Initial reports indicate that the school's wood store on the first floor has burned down, four windows on the second floor have been damaged, and the first-floor corridor has been smoke-logged. Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently underway. The Department of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration is conducting inspections in connection with the incident.
