Surene Sahakyan Reports: Ukraine Completes War Preparedness on Eastern Front

Former head of the Citizens' Decision party, Surene Sahakyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Reports from Donbas indicate that Ukraine has completed its preparations for war on the eastern front. Recently, Russia, through Lavrov's statements, essentially withdrew from negotiations regarding Donbass, noting that this is an internal affair of Ukraine. Putin, addressing the recent tensions, mentioned only potential developments around Crimea as a matter of concern.

Of course, further developments will clarify the real situation on the ground, but based on the current scope of information, one can assume that Russia is conceding Donbass to Ukraine (notably, once again ‘betraying’ its ‘ally’ in the interests of its own) and is trying to reach a consensus regarding Crimea with Ukraine and the entire world.

If these assessments are correct, I would like to look into the eyes of those who referred to Zelensky as a ‘clown’ and deemed him an unacceptable candidate for the position of head of state. Typically, those voicing such opinions hold strongly pro-Russian views, inspired by the mocking comments about Zelensky in Russian media.

In this regard, I also want these individuals to consider in future assessments of Russia’s strength that it has retreated from most positions and is desperately trying to hold on to just one last bastion due to the policies of a certain ‘clown.’ Therefore, the key issue is not necessarily the professional capabilities of an individual, but the political will and vision, which, even if lacking in an individual, can still exist within institutional memory.”
