Tigran Abrahamyan on Armed Forces Reforms
The foundation of armed forces reforms must be the individual—the soldier. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the NA 'I Have Honor' faction, on his Facebook page.
This, according to him, means that if the issues regarding the professional training of soldiers, the combat readiness of units, and solid social guarantees are not resolved, then the remaining elements of the changes have zero value.
“Without enhancing the attractiveness of the military profession, there is no opportunity for any effective reforms in the army, regardless of what equipment, armaments are acquired, or what level the quality of food reaches. If we are unable to bring individuals with high intellect, knowledge, and patriotism into the armed forces, then a new major crisis is expected in the army over the next 3-5 years, much more severe than what we experienced after the 2018 change of power and the 44-day war in 2020,” the MP noted.
