Inflow of Money from Abroad Increases: 'Hayastani Zhoghovurd'

'Hayastani Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that the inflow of money sent to Armenia from abroad has increased. According to the newspaper, the net inflow of transfers received through banks in December amounted to 77 million 287 thousand dollars.

It is noteworthy that compared to November, the net inflow of money sent from abroad to Armenia increased by 14 million 248 thousand dollars. Thus, we can state that transfers continued to grow in December compared to November.

Additionally, it should be noted that the net inflow from the Russian Federation amounted to 37 million 921 thousand dollars in December, a slight increase compared to November 2021. It is clear that most of this money is sent by Armenians working abroad, and the funds sent are a primary means of livelihood for their families living here.

Furthermore, the net inflow of transfers from the United States to Armenia has also increased. In November of the previous year, it was 33 million 211 thousand dollars, while in December, it grew to 44 million 212 thousand dollars.
