Woman Attempts to Smuggle Drugs to Husband in Vanadzor Prison

In a recent incident at the Vanadzor penitentiary, officials discovered drugs and prohibited items in the bag of a woman who had come for an extended visit with her husband, inmate A. L. The information was reported by the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

During the search, prison officials found two polyethylene bags containing a total of 57 grams of a plant substance resembling marijuana, along with 15 mobile phones, 14 phone chargers, and more than ten pairs of headphones and USB wires, as stated in the report.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
