What Mhér Grigoryan and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Discussed
Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk has arrived in Yerevan on a working visit. During the visit, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mhér Grigoryan and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk. The meeting was also attended by the General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozyorov, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin.
The parties discussed agenda items related to Russian-Armenian bilateral relations, including issues of trade and economic cooperation. Both sides emphasized the important role of the South Caucasian Railway company in the Armenian economy and discussed a range of issues regarding the further development of cooperation with the company within the framework of the concession agreement.
The meeting also addressed agenda items of the trilateral working group chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the prospects for the restoration of transport communications in the South Caucasus region.
