Chinese Man Suffers from Headaches for 20 Years, Discovers Bullet in Skull

A resident of China has been plagued by severe headaches for years and was shocked to learn that he had been living with a bullet lodged in the left side of his skull for nearly two decades, according to odditycentral.com.

The 28-year-old man recounted that he had experienced intense headaches for as long as he could remember. However, in recent months, the pain had become increasingly frequent and unbearable. Initially, he thought it was due to lack of sleep, but after undergoing medical examinations, the true cause of the pain was revealed.

Doctors at the Shenzhen University General Hospital discovered the peculiar object during an MRI scan, which was found in Xiao Chen's skull. Upon further inspection, it was determined that the small object was a metal bullet. The hospital staff then asked him if he had any idea how it had ended up there.

Interestingly, Chen recalled that when he was about 8 years old, he was playing at home with a BB gun alongside his brother, when the gun accidentally discharged towards his head. Fearing their parents would be angry, he and his brother kept quiet about the incident, and the injury went unnoticed due to his hair, preventing his parents from seeing it. Additionally, the wound was not very painful, so he eventually forgot about it.

Doctors informed the 28-year-old that it was a stroke of luck he was still alive, as the bullet was very close to his temple but had not fully penetrated his skull or hit his brain. He was scheduled for emergency surgery, and the bullet, approximately 1 cm in length and about 0.5 cm in diameter, was successfully removed.
