Consumer Price Index Increased by 7.2% in 2021

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia has published several statistical data. From January to December 2021, compared to the same period last year, the increase in the Economic Activity Index in Armenia was 5.8%. In comparison to the previous January-December period of 2020, the different sectors of the economy showed growth as follows: services grew by +7.8%, trade turnover by +7.5%, construction by +7.4%, and industrial production by +3.3%. During the observed period, the agriculture sector recorded a decrease of 1.1%.

In December 2021, compared to the previous month, the Economic Activity Index in Armenia increased by 24.1%, and compared to the same month last year, it rose by 9.9%. It is noteworthy that from January to December 2021, the Consumer Price Index increased by 7.2% compared to the same period last year.
