Prices for Some Services of Haypost to Increase
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that Haypost is planning to revise the tariffs for universal postal services. According to the newspaper, the Public Services Regulatory Commission has begun reviewing Haypost CJSC's application for tariff adjustments. It should be noted that the company submitted this application to the commission back on January 13.
For example, the current tariff for a standard letter weighing up to 20 grams is 230 AMD, but the company proposes to increase it to 520 AMD. The current price for a letter weighing 101-250 grams is 410 AMD, which is also suggested to be raised to 560 AMD. Interestingly, for letters weighing 501-1000 grams, where the cost is currently 1260 AMD, the company suggests reducing it to 1100 AMD.
Notably, Haypost is proposing to increase the tariff for the delivery of official periodicals to rural areas. The current rate for this service is 38 AMD, but the company proposes to review and set it at 175 AMD.
What the Public Services Regulatory Commission will decide remains to be seen, but it is worth mentioning that Haypost CJSC had already increased prices for several services as of February 1 of last year.
