When Raising Toasts, Remember the Boys Suffering in Baku Prisons: Melikyan

Today, numerous spontaneous toasts will be made—around tables, on Facebook, everywhere. My request is that when making these toasts, we remember the dozens of boys who are still subjected to inhumane suffering in Baku prisons. This was noted by lawyer Ruben Melikyan on his Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, we can do nothing to bring them back to their Homeland, because we have a treacherous, unpatriotic government in power. I also ask that when raising these toasts, we remember the six boys who, after enduring the Golgotha of Baku, were returned to the Homeland and immediately transferred to other prisons—with Armenian insignia. These individuals are effectively being accused of not sacrificing themselves. Moreover, I assure you that these people have even been deprived of the opportunity to give their lives for some benefit. Unlike those held in Baku prisons, for these boys, YOU can do something. Soon, their trials will follow one after the other regarding the issue of returning their freedom. For example, you can come to the courthouse, endure a bit of cold, and show your support and gratitude to these boys. If you don’t want to feel cold, then at least you can talk about this screaming injustice on social media. Cheers!”
