Video: Ice Breaks, 3-Year-Old Girl Falls into Neva River, Rescued by Police Officer
A police officer in St. Petersburg has rescued a 3-year-old girl from the Neva River. The video shows Sergeant Dmitry Khodkevich pulling the child out of the water. This was reported by RIA, referencing the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is reported that the girl was out for a walk with her father when she slipped on the frozen Neva and suddenly the ice broke, causing her to fall into the water. Her father tried to rescue her but was unable to reach her. As a result, emergency services were called.
