New Interrogations in the Case of Low-Quality Missile Supply
According to information from the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper, the National Security Service has interrogated former Deputy Minister of Defense Alik Mirzabekyan, who was dismissed from his post on April 26, 2016, regarding the criminal case concerning the supply of low-quality missiles to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. Mirzabekyan was in charge of the material and technical supply department, which was disbanded by Serzh Sargsyan after the April War.
This implies that the NSS has also revisited the case concerning the previously dismissed deputy minister.
Additionally, it is noted that on April 26, 2016, following a decree from Serzh Sargsyan, the head of the intelligence department of the Armed Forces' General Staff, Arshak Karapetyan, was also dismissed. After the revolution, he was appointed advisor to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and later became Minister of Defense following the 44-day war, but was removed less than 100 days into his term. Following his dismissal, Karapetyan moved to Moscow.
