The ruling CPP has organized a three-day gathering in Dilijan. Will Pashinyan participate?

The ruling "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly has decided to combine pleasure with work by holding an off-site extended meeting. They have planned a three-day gathering from January 28 to 30 in Dilijan, where CPP deputies will discuss their upcoming tasks, behavior, public interactions with the opposition, and various other matters at one of the guesthouses.

Sources informed the media that this gathering was supposed to take place in mid-January but was postponed for unspecified reasons. Particularly, Prime Minister Pashinyan was also supposed to attend, but due to information leaks, the meeting was delayed. Notably, yesterday Pashinyan announced that he had contracted COVID-19 and is in self-isolation. This raises the question: will he attend the upcoming gathering? “It’s still unclear,” said a CPP source. However, Pashinyan is in isolation due to the coronavirus. “If he wishes, he will participate with a mask,” the source added.

This meeting is also notable because the government will avoid participating in celebrations for Army Day under the guise of an extended meeting. Although there are not particularly large events planned; when the army is being dismantled, what celebration is even left?” the newspaper writes. The full article can be read in today’s issue of the newspaper.
