We Must Urgently Prepare for the Worst-Case Scenarios: Abovyan

The US State Department has conveyed the Americans' response to the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding Russian proposals (which concern security guarantees that the Russians are demanding from the Americans in case of further NATO expansion). This was stated on his Facebook page by Arman Abovyan, a member of the Political Council of the Prosperous Armenia Party.

“Meanwhile, the families of the US Embassy staff are gradually being evacuated. Concurrently, the Russian ambassador has been 'urged' to leave the United States. The Ukrainians have concentrated over a hundred thousand troops towards Donetsk and Luhansk. Ukraine has received an enormous amount of weapons from NATO countries in just one week. The Russians are being put in a virtually hopeless situation. I believe that if God forbid, they go crazy and provoke a confrontation against Russia, the situation will explode globally. And let no one think that by chattering about a 'peace era' with the Turkish-Azerbaijani murderers, we can 'slip through' this global calamity... absolutely not; the Turks will start such a 'peace era' in the region that not a stone will be left upon another. We must simply be realistic and stop playing silly games with the Turks and urgently prepare for the worst-case scenarios. We are, after all, a state! UNDERSTAND!” wrote Abovyan.
