Russian Ambassador in the US States That State Department Has Raised Departure Issue

The Russian Ambassador to the US, Antonov, has stated that the State Department has raised the issue of his departure, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“During recent meetings at the State Department, our staff was clearly informed that the Russian ambassador would have to leave the US by April unless we meet a number of conditions regarding the issuance of visas for the security personnel of the US ambassador in Moscow,” Antonov said.

The ambassador noted that during his four years of work in Washington, more than 120 diplomats and mission staff have been expelled from the US ahead of schedule.
