Nikol Pashinyan on Aliyev's Threats
During an online press conference, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the recent threats made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev towards the Armenian people. Aliyev stated that if Armenia does not accept Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and threatens it, the country is prepared to go to war and 'eliminate those threats.'
'In the last year, when interpreting statements from Azerbaijan, let’s note some nuances that are not visible in our reality. Let’s differentiate between the rational and emotional sides of the statements. Recently, an analyst grabbed my attention with his remarks; he said that today’s expressions from Azerbaijan are reflective of statements made by Armenia since 1994,' noted Pashinyan.
According to him, since 1994, statements from Armenia and Artsakh have included assertions like 'the issue of Artsakh is resolved' and 'Baku is a Armenian city', and now Azerbaijan is doing the same.
