What Did Not Happen in Armenia Is Finally Becoming Possible in Artsakh: Marukyan
Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia party, writes on his Facebook page: “What did not happen in Armenia is finally becoming possible in Artsakh: Since May 2021, when enemy troops entered Armenia’s sovereign territory, we have been advocating for unity and the consolidation of all capable forces against our challenges. We were sidelined from the snap parliamentary elections under this agenda, but we continued to champion this approach.
Recently, the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, held a meeting with the leadership of the executive and legislative branches, which also included the leaders of the factions in the Artsakh National Assembly. Harutyunyan announced that he is prepared to involve experienced personnel from opposition political forces, as well as former presidents, in the governance of Artsakh. This process will begin next week, which means that the start of unity in Artsakh has been signaled against existing challenges and for the sake of Artsakh. It remains to be seen if this same awareness will also reach the Republic of Armenia.”
